COFFEE SHOP scenes workshop

June 26 - July 24 // dress rehearsal & performance July 28 & 29 // $70

We’re excited to present something new this year. Become a part of an ensemble and learn to sing, move, and act all in one. Each week will be used to practice technique, choreography, and expression. These scenes will then be performed for family and friends during our “coffee house” styled performance.

Vocal Technique WORKSHOP

July 31 - August 21 // $20 per session

This is our traditional workshop where you’ll learn important foundational techniques to help improve your vocal support, resonance, range, theory and expression. The class will culminate into a master class.

Meet Your Instructor

Kawika Bethelette has served as the Conductor of the Thornton Community Chorus since the 2018-19 season, earning the position after guest conducting during the 2017-18 season. Mr. Berthelette has had the honor of directing the Denver Public Schools Citywide Honor Choir in 2019. He has served for the last seven years as a music educator. He has served students as a general music teacher at Kaiser Elementary, McKinnley-Thatcher Elementary, and Barrett Elementary. He has also served at Adams City Middle School as the Director of Bands. Mr. Berthelette’s career also includes guest conducting the Brighton Music Festival Orchestra, where he conducted his own original compositions: “Reflection,” and “The Fallen.” Mr. Berthelette received his Bachelor's in Music Education (K-12) from Colorado State University.
