Let’s Get singing

Our wildly successful and popular choral technique workshop is back and we’re so excited to have you join us!

Even if you took the workshop before, you’ll want to sign up again. There’s always room to keep growing and improving your instrument.

This workshop gives you a chance to improve some of the finer details of your singing and performance skills. Each Monday we will focus on a different topic. You can pick and choose whether to come to one workshop or all four! And there is no obligation to join the choir in the fall, but you are certainly welcome to. The choice is yours!

Workshop Schedule

JUNE 24 - Build Your Vocal range

This first session is part one of a two part session where we will focus on building and strengthening the foundations needed for great singing. Everyone needs the basics, and even if you know them, it’s always good to go back to them and make sure they’re still strong. Here we will be focusing on techniques to help strengthen and expand your vocal range while staying supported.

JULY 8 - vocal technique

This session we will be a continuation of the previous week where we will continue to build and strengthen our foundation. We will continue to focus on techniques such as breathing, support, resonance, placement, blending and more.

july 22 - VOCAL EXPRESSION

During this session we will be focusing on the face. Singing is a whole body and mind experience, and the more we as singers can connect emotionally and express it, the more we can draw our audience in and touch their soul. Using acting techniques, this session will focus on tapping into the emotions of music and letting your face express those emotions.

august 5 - master class/ mini performance

For our last class you’re encouraged to invite family and friends to come watch you sing. There’s nothing better than performing with a live audience. During this last workshop you’ll have a chance to perform the song you’ve been working on and then receive specific feedback from our instructor on what you did well and where you can still continue to improve.
