TCC is proud to have been serving the community since 2008!

Thornton Community Chorus is a community service organization in Thornton, Colorado. Under the auspices of TASCHO (Thornton Arts, Sciences and Humanities Council), we have established an organization that provides the community with a performing chorus of volunteer adults in the North Metro area of Denver and offers citizens a fun and challenging opportunity to make music together!

Season 2019-2020

Singer

We are always looking for more joyful singers to join us. You must be 18+ (some exceptions may apply) and love to sing. While we do not hold formal auditions to join we do hold informal vocal placement to ensure you are singing in the section that best suits your voice. Previous choral experience is recommended but not required. We do a lot of sight reading and several advanced pieces mixed with more intermediate pieces.

Your commitment

  • Rehearsals every Monday evening from 7-9pm

  • Reviewing your music between rehearsals

  • Winter concert and dress reherasal in December

  • Thornton Winterfest performance on a Sunday in December

  • Spring concert and dress rehearsal in April

  • Cabaret fundraising performance in June (optional)

  • Occasional performances at assisted living homes

Musician

We are looking to add to our live accompaniment by having musician volunteers. This is a great way for musicians to build their resume and get experience. We are looking for a drummer, guitarist, and bass player.

commitment

  • Winter concert and dress rehearsal in December

  • Become a board member

  • Assist during a concert (set up, break down, selling bake sale items or auction items)

  • Donate food, drink, silent auction items, etc.

  • Photograph or Video our concerts

Let us know that you're interested and we'll get you the information you need to come to our next rehearsal.
