TCC is proud to have been serving the community since 2010!

Thornton Community Chorus is a community service organization in Thornton, Colorado. Our mission is to provide local, affordable and diverse vocal music offerings for the community and enhance the overall program of arts and culture within the City of Thornton and the surrounding communities. The TCC provides a venue for a local community-based group of talented volunteer performers who want to give back to the community through concerts of choral music. The purpose of TCC is to enlighten and entertain the community by providing a continuing opportunity for singers to perform a variety of choral and ensemble music that is challenging and interesting to both performers and audiences.

Season 2023-2024

Singer

We are always looking for more joyful singers to join us. You must be 18+ (some exceptions may apply) and love to sing. While we do not hold formal auditions to join we do hold informal vocal placement to ensure you are singing in the section that best suits your voice. Previous choral experience is recommended but not required. We do a lot of sight reading and several advanced pieces mixed with more intermediate pieces.

Your commitment

  • Rehearsals every Monday evenings from 6:45-9pm

  • Reviewing your music between rehearsals

  • Winter concert and dress rehearsal in December

  • Extra community events and performances on an as need basis

  • Spring concert and dress rehearsal in April

  • Cabaret fundraising performance in June (optional)

  • Supporting & promoting the chorus by inviting people to our concerts and fundraisers

Volunteer

If singing or playing an instrument are not your forte but you are still interested in helping with TCC there are other ways to volunteer your time:

  • Assist during a concert (set up, break down, selling bake sale items or auction items)

  • Donate food, drink, silent auction items, etc.

  • Photograph or Video our concerts

Whether you’re a singer or not we’re always looking for more board members to assist in the operations of the chorus.

  • meetings once a month

  • assist with scheduling, marketing, and awareness

  • organize fundraisers and write grants

  • promote the chorus and all their events
